The current situation

The political and economic crisis in Palestine resulted in high unemployment rates and increased poverty levels among the Palestinian people. Many people used to work in Israel lost their main source of income. On the other hand the Palestinian private sector has also experienced difficulties to cope with the current situation. Many businesses were bankrupt, or faced big financial problems, especially small and micro enterprises.

Mission

Due to the importance of the SME sector in Palestine, and the need for an economic growth, the Young Entrepreneurs Palestine (YEP) has devoted all kinds of possible support that could be provided in order to help young entrepreneurs to access credit in order to start up their own businesses or to improve their existing ones.

Our Activities

YEP is currently working on building an information system which will be updated periodically in order to help young entrepreneurs to follow up on the following:

- Financial institutions credit programs.
- Types of credit available and in which sectors.
- Help in selecting the most suitable credit programs for each business (financing and repayment rate, grace period, and interest rates).
- Help in the preparation of feasibility studies and business plans.
- Raising awareness among young entrepreneurs on how to deal with the financial institutions.

In addition to this YEP also provides consultancy on financial management to young entrepreneurs to avoid any financial problems that might cause any harm to the survival of their businesses.
